Malla Reddy Engineering College for Women (MRECW) is a constituent College of Malla Reddy Group of Institutions (MRGI) established in 2008.The College offers Engineering courses (B.Tech.) in ECE, CSE, AE, MECH and IT disciplines and Post Graduate (M.Tech.) courses in ECE, CSE, MECH and AE specializations in addition to MBA programmes. The College campus with its arboriculture and horticulture is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city provides a serene and tranquil atmosphere, which is conducive to both teaching and learning processes.
Research and Development is an integral part of the academic activities of Malla Reddy Engineering College for Women.MRECW R&D cell is one of the wings of Institute which facilitates, channelizes, records, and regulates all the academic, sponsored, collaborative research projects and consultancy works in the Institute. Entrepreneurship, social mobility, economic growth and technology innovation have defined the growth of stakeholders and fraternity of the institution with the help of state-of-art technology incubator housed within the campus. The institute also has well established Entrepreneurship development cell (EDC) which bridges the gap between idea to implementation for a sustainable innovative market. The Institute-Industry Partnership Cell (IIPC) has eventually evolved to assist the industrial problems and foster the academic research and product innovation ecosystem within the campus.
With the discoursed credentials above, the institute now has the potential to further adoptand implement "The National Innovation and Startup Policy (NISP) "framed by Ministry of Education (MoE) in 2019. This will enable the students, faculties and staff to actively engage in innovation and entrepreneurship related activities such as Intellectual Property ownership management, technology licensing and institutional Startup policy, thus enabling creation of a robust innovation and Startupecosystem.
The institute with the assistance of MoE's NISP framework will foster innovation and entrepreneurship environment within the campus by facilitating support in terms of resource and technology. This enables stakeholders and fraternity to implement their technological outputs that supports in line with NISP framework to realize the challenges of the society. This ecosystem will attract entrepreneurs from alumni and new stakeholders towards a sustainable growth as an individual and system. The current policy framework is expected to hoist a healthy culture within the campus that showcase the global challenges which will carry forward to the new stakeholders as a heritage.This policy will also nurture innovation, investments in Research and developments, infrastructure, knowledge, technology development and skilled manpower, resulting in entrepreneurial endeavors.
