Library Timings:

The Library is open from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
The Library remains closed on all Sundays / Institute Holidays
Library Lending Services are available from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 a.m. To 6.00 p.m.

Library and Information Centre:

MRECW has an excellent library for the benefit of the faculty, students and researchers. As one of the best established libraries. Books are depositories of knowledge and hold a place of pride in every educational institution. The Central Library in Campus III is a new building consisting of two floors and having a seating capacity of 200 students and above has a tremendous collection of 27,852 volumes and 5,517 titles and subscribes over 100 Indian and 50 foreign periodicals as such. Our Library has a large collection of books covering various branches of Engineering, Technology, Management and Humanities and Sciences and its related fields.

Mrecw Library has an impressive collection of standard text and reference books. In keeping with the vision and mission of the institute, library and information centre plays a vital role in supporting, teaching and learning activities and provides the main source for individual research programmes. Based on the student needs and faculty recommendation, multiple copies of textbooks are bought and made available. Specialized collections are also available in our central library.

Our library services are fully computerised with updated version of KOHA SOFTWARE. All library operations and services has been automated and barcode technology has been implemented. It operates on Linux based and has an excellent operational modules. An OPAC ( On-line Public Access Catalogue ) has been created and about 50 terminals are provided to facilitate access. It is also made available (via ) LAN in the campus.

Internet Section

Browsing centre - The Library is the Internet Service hub of the college and has 50 systems for accessing online resources and information browsing purpose.

Highly qualified, efficient staff members ensure the best possible information services to all the users. A closed circuit camera ( CC – Camera ) facility is available for the entire library. All the library facilities supported by expert assistance, are always available for students and staff from 9.00 a.m. To 6.00 p.m. on all working days.

Membership - All the Staff members and Students are eligible for the membership of the library.

Rules and Regulations
  • All the Staff and Students are hereby informed to sign in the Gate Register at the entrance of the Library before entering inside the Library.
  • Strict and absolute silence shall be observed in the Library.
  • Cell Phones are to be switched off inside the Library.
  • Bags, Raincoats, Jerkins, Private Books are strictly prohibited inside the Library.
  • Students are requested to keep their belongings at the entrance of the Library. However they are advised not to leave cell phones, money purse, credit cards and other valuables in the handbag outside the library. These items are liable to be lost.
  • The Library services are restricted to staff and students only.
  • Library users are strictly prohibited from taking the borrowed and stamped books again inside the library.
  • New Books and Journals will be displayed on the New Arrival Rack.
  • Reference Books, Newspapers, Current Issues of any Journal / Magazine should not be be taken out.
  • If the due date falls on a holiday for the library, the next working day will be taken as the due date.
  • Books will be issued to the members only on producing their Borrower's card.
  • Library Books are issuing on Online -Barcode based Circulation Method, hence it is informed to all the members to produce their Borrower's card for all the library transactions. No transactions will be done without Borrower's card.
  • Borrower's cards are not transferable.
  • If any loss or damage of books by the borrower, the person will be responsible to replace it with a latest edition of the particular book.
  • Any kind of marking, underlining, clipping of books is absolutely forbidden.
  • All the members are required to produce the borrowed books for renewals. More than one renewal will not be allowed.
  • The Members are responsible for any loss of Library Cards. No Duplicate Cards will be given to the borrower.
  • All the students should return their Library Cards after completion of their Course to obtain NO DUE CERTIFICATE from the Library Department.
  • Digital Library is to be used only for academic purpose.
  • Members personal Pen Drives / CD -ROMs and DVD are not to be used in the Digital Library.
  • Social Networking sites are strictly prohibited in the Digital Library.
  • Members are not allowed to change the settings and display of the computers which are kept in the Digital Library.

NOTE :- The above rules are intended to regulate the use of Library Resources and will be reviewed periodically to meet the changing needs.

Any change in the rules or instructions or information to all the members will be notified on the LIBRARY NOTICE BOARD as and when required.
